Mark McKinney serves as the de facto narrator of the trailer, dressed like a business executive and definitely going to throw off anyone who only knows McKinney as “Superstore” manager Glenn Sturgis. Joining the main five kids are other comedic greats like Paul Bellini, Pete Davidson, Catherine O’Hara, Kenan Thompson, Brandon Ash-Mohammed, Will Forte, Catherine Reitman, Samantha Bee, Fred Armisen, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee, Jay Baruchel, Eddie Izzard, Tracee Ellis Ross, Mark Hamill, and Colin Mochrie.
The show will bring back some of their all-time great characters (hail the Head Crusher!!!) and plenty of new ones sure to become fast favorites. Get ready for wigs, makeup, costumes, silly voices, sillier props, and a hell of a good time. “The Kids in the Hall” will return on May 13, 2022.

The series is a welcome addition to Prime Video’s acquisition of the two-part documentary series “The Kids in the Hall: Comedy Punks,” looking at the history of the troupe and their impact on comedy, set to debut on May 20, 2022. The 1990s and 2000s were a peak time for sketch comedy, but their dadaist style of humor and their strong embrace of gender and social norm subversion influenced a generation of fellow weird kids looking for their people. “The Kids In The Hall” were my kind of people, and even as they grow older (and grayer), they still are.
